Finding Common Ground

The issue as to whether a community should take a look at natural gas production is not as black and white as some groups would have us think.  There is a middle ground or a common ground. We need to find it before we divide our community beyond repair.

There are so many parts to this quandary- however as with any new development or change to a community there is always the fear of what the changes might bring. Concerns are legitimate but must be addressed and solutions found.

Cornell is hosting an energy conference “Gas Drilling, Sustainability & Energy Policy: Searching for Common Ground” that will discuss the possibility of a common ground. If you are truly interested in understanding how community problems can be resolved and not driving the wedge deeper this might be the conference for you.
