James Odato's article in the Times Union caused quite the stir last week, when he quoted Taury Smith as saying that the spin was on.
Activists and "concerned citizens" called for letters to force Mr Odato to retract his article were sent to the Times Union Editor. The special interest groups were extremely infuriated and resulted in claiming that Mr. Smith was "in" the pocket of the industry.
Groups of "concerned" residents have continued to maintain that natural gas extraction is not safe enough to be allowed in our state; whilst top level officials and scientist expect the release of the new regulations by this summer. This move will help offset the States budgetery issues and bring much needed economic relief to the region.
